With the summer season comes opportunities for rest in our daily lives. Rest transforms us to physically, emotionally, and spiritually centered beings again. Above all, periods of rest help us to be the best versions of ourselves in the workplace, in our social groups and families, and in our communities. In practical terms, rest comes when we turn the world off for just a moment in order to reset our minds. As we approach summer, a season that many of us use to catch up on our favorite TV shows, the lazy screen-sucking habits can start to set in. That’s why I made it one of my 2016 New Year’s resolutions to cut down on the amount of time I spend with technology. If you’re an ENFJ, you know the struggle. If you make a friend, it’s a friend for life, in your mind. You have a desire to help your friends be the best they can be and you want to be in constant relationship with them. Burnout: How To Deal

As I write this, I’m mentally ticking off all of the tasks I’ve done and I’m dreading the many I have left to do. It’s all too easy to let the assignments pile up and no matter how productive you are, eventually it all gets to be a bit too much, and you burn out. I’m no stranger to this phenomenon. In fact, you might call me the Queen of Burnout. I spent last summer completing two internships, writing for three online magazines, and working two jobs.
